Chalks Landing
The Chalks Landing community is a single-family, gated residential neighborhood situated on the banks of Blewett Falls Lake, a 2,550-acre all-sports lake with 34 miles of shoreline; ideal for swimming, boating, and fishing. Our community consists of 200 home sites, surrounded by the natural beauty of the southern Piedmont Mountains. We are located just a short drive from downtown Rockingham NC, in Richmond County, between the beach and the mountains in south central NC.

The Uwharrie National Forest offers 50,189 acres of recreational activities. There are over 133 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails in this region, and the forest is also popular with hunters and fishermen. It’s named for the Uwharrie Mountains, some of the oldest in North America.
The Pee Dee National Wildlife Refuge encompasses 8,443 acres and is situated on the banks of the Pee Dee River. The diverse habitat supports a broad range of wildlife species, including over 180 birds, 49 amphibians and reptiles, 28 mammals, and 20 fish species. The public is invited to enjoy hiking, bird watching, fishing, and hunting in season.
Pinehurst, North Carolina is famous for its golf courses, which is the site of more championships than any other golf course in the country. In 2014, Pinehurst made history by hosting the U.S. Open Men’s and U.S. Open Woman’s Championship’s. In addition to golf, Pinehurst boasts spas, tennis, and dining opportunities. US Open Men’s Championship returns to Pinehurst #2 in 2024
Also, in an effort to expand its impact in golf and extend its mission to champion and advance the game, the USGA will establish “Golf House Pinehurst” in North Carolina, to include a new equipment-testing facility, innovation hub, museum/visitor center and offices by 2023, and host five U.S. Open Championships in the golf-rich state by 2047.
